One person, one tool.

Who made this

FrameCatcher is made by AlsoNut — Nat, a filmmaker in Thailand.

The tool came out of that work. Pulling a clean still from a shot is something an editor does constantly, and scrubbing a timeline frame by frame to do it is slow in a way that has nothing to do with the craft.

The intention is for it to stay free, for good. If it saved you time, you can support it with a donation.

Alsonut Collective

Nat also keeps a database of free things worth knowing about — tools, fonts, music, references — for other people who make things. FrameCatcher is the one on it he built rather than found.
