Terms of Service

FrameCatcher (“FrameCatcher,” “we,” “us”) operates the FrameCatcher website and shot-detection service (the “Service”). Thai business registration (ทะเบียนพาณิชย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์) is in progress and not yet complete; this section will name the registered entity once it is. By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.

FrameCatcher offers two ways to get frames out of a video:

• Shot Detectionanalyzes your video and finds real shot boundaries (not fixed time intervals), then extracts frames from each shot. Uploading and previewing are free and don’t require an account; logging in is required only to export.
• Interval Captureinstead grabs a frame on a fixed interval you choose. It runs entirely in your browser — your video is never uploaded to our servers for this mode — and is free with no account required at any step, including export.

Either way, you can preview, refine, crop, and export results as a Contact Sheet, ColorCatcher image, GIF, or a ZIP of stills.

• Accounts are created via magic-link email or Google sign-in — we never see or store a password.
• You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email/Google account secure.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to claim signup or referral credits more than once is not allowed and may result in those credits being reversed.

You keep ownership of whatever you upload and of the frames FrameCatcher extracts from it. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process, temporarily store, and show that content back to you through the Service — we don’t use your uploads for anything else, and we don’t claim any ownership over them.

You warrant that you have the rights to upload and process whatever you submit— your own footage, footage you’re licensed or authorized to use, or footage you have permission to process on someone else’s behalf. You agree to indemnify and hold FrameCatcher harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising from content you upload that you didn’t have the right to.

You may not use FrameCatcher to upload or process:

• Content you don’t own or have permission to use, including footage under a license that doesn’t cover this kind of processing.
• Content that is illegal to possess or distribute in your jurisdiction. Content involving the sexual exploitation of minors is never permitted under any circumstance — where required by law, we will report such content to the relevant authorities and preserve it as legally required, regardless of any other retention policy in these Terms.
• Content that infringes someone else’s privacy, publicity, or personal-data rights, or that you know was obtained without their consent.
• Anything used to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service, or to circumvent the free-tier limits described in Section 6.

We may suspend or terminate access, and remove content, for a violation of this section, with or without notice. If you believe content processed through FrameCatcher infringes your rights, contact legal@framecatcher.app.

• Interval Capture never uses credits — it’s free regardless of account status or video length, subject only to the processing caps below.
• New accounts start with 50 free credits (about 5 minutes of Shot Detection exports). You can earn more by referring people who go on to complete their own first export.
• If you’re not logged in, processing without an account (either mode) is capped at 3 minutes per video and a rolling 15 minutes per day.
• For Shot Detection, credits are consumed based on the full duration of the video processed, not the number of shots or frames you export from it.
• Credits are single-purpose (usable only within FrameCatcher), non-transferable, and have no cash value — they cannot be sold, gifted, or redeemed for money.
• Paid subscriptions (Director’s Cut, Studio Pass) grant a fixed number of credits each billing period and renew automatically until canceled. Studio Pass alone allows metered overage past its monthly quota, billed per minute; Director’s Cut requires upgrading instead of billing overage.
• Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time; it stays active through the end of the period you’ve already paid for. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Discount codes, where offered, are subject to their own expiry date, redemption limit, and one-use-per-account restriction.

For Shot Detection, uploaded source video is automatically deleted about 60 minutes after processing finishes, win or lose. For Interval Capture, your video is never uploaded to us at all, so there’s nothing on our servers to delete. Extracted frames and other exports from Shot Detection are automatically deleted 30 days after they’re created. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we collect and why.

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent the law allows, FrameCatcher isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
